2140년, 지구 온난화가 악화되어 전 세계적인 기후 재앙을 겪는 미래에는 새로운 올림픽이 등장한다. IPCC(기후변화에 관한 정부 간 협의체)와 여러 과학자들이 말하는 최악의 시나리오에 따라 2140년의 지구는 오염되었고 사회는 붕괴되었으며, 바다는 죽음으로 가득하고 대지는 불타오른다. 척박한 환경 속에서 사람들은 더욱 극단적이고 폭력적으로 변해가며 올림픽의 오륜기부터 모토, 경기 종목까지 모든 것을 바꾸었다. 북아메리카의 인류 생존 가능 구역 중 동쪽 마지노선에 걸친 캘거리에서 개최될 올림픽을 소개한다.

What will the Olympics of the future look like?

In 2140, a new Olympic emerges by global climate disasters with escalating global warming. Following dire reports from the IPCC and various scientists, the Earth becomes a landscape of pollution, societal collapse, and the oceans filled with death, while the land keeps burning. Humanity devolves into heightened extremities and violence, transforming every aspect of the Olympics—from Olympic rings to its motto and sports. The Olympic Games will be held in Calgary, located along the eastern bastion of the habitable zones for humanity in North America.
